SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS **UPDATE** Posted or Updated on 26 May 2022

Unfortunately due to the current weather conditions surgery had to close today (March 1st) earlier than planned with an emergency contact number put in place.

All local staff will make an effort to attend surgery in the morning (Friday 2nd March), depending on their own personal and safety reasons. However we will not have a GP guaranteed on the premises if the conditions carry on throughout the night which they are likely to do so.

Please DO NOT ATTEND the surgery tomorrow. If you need emergency medical advice and treatment, please call the surgery on 01443 450340 where we will arrange a call back from Dr Afelumo.

No routine problems will be dealt with. Please see a GP next week when the weather conditions improve.

As posted yesterday, please take the following in to consideration;

  • Extremely cold, icy, windy weather conditions creating unsafe travelling on foot - stay at home and be safe.
  • The GPs are not local so they will have difficulty in travelling to the surgery
  • Difficulty in relation to home visits, prescription collections via pharmacies.
  • The possibility that we will be short staffed  (please bear with us if you do need to contact us, we will try and deal with any queries as efficiently and quickly as possible with the staff we have available to assist you)

Please also take in to consideration that after the red warning expires, we still have an amber warning in place.

Please stay in the warm and look after yourself.
